Boo’s boo boo.

Boo was a trooper Wednesday.
He handled the neuter like champ!
Dr. Zeimann said…”keep him quite
for a few days.” Um yea, right. Have ya
met Boo!? He’s a maniac!

I had a few visitors yesterday.
So, just for fun, I got out the old
camera so that you all can see how much
my family is growing too!

First, there’s Owen, he’s now 3 & 1/4 years
old and is all boy. A very, Very, VERY CHATTY
boy and I love him to pieces!

1335 Boos boo boo.
1323 Boos boo boo.

His sister Reese came along and so
I thought I’d see if I could get them
to sit together long enough to get a shot.
Not so lucky….

1382 Boos boo boo.

So I thought I’d try them with mom. WOW!
“One, two, three….eyes on me!”

1404 Boos boo boo.

Then a bit later Anne brought Ben over
and Bear, their new cock-a-poo.

1488 Boos boo boo.

Hey Ben, why did I not get a shot of you!?
I owe ya buddy!

Got balls?

Nope. Boo went in early this morning to
be neutered. I’ll pick him up later today.
He’s also getting one of those “home again”
chips…h’s kind of a runner, much to our
dismay. He just waits for an opportunity
and bolts. Not sure why, he HATES the grass.

Well, I have had a couple of weeks chalked
FULL of distractions lately and I apologize
for not putting images up for Molly & Andy
and Kristin & Carlos. Seems it’s always
something. I will be on call the next couple
of days for NILMDTS so I always plan in-house
activities for those days should I need to
head to a West Suburb hospital. I plan to
place images from those 2 weddings up in the
next couple of days. Thanks for your patience.

Last night everyone came out for our street
block party. What a gas. The firetruck came
late but it was TOTALLY worth the wait!
No real watering restrictions this year so
they blasted some water out for what seemed
like an hour. The kids were hysterical and
soaked through!

 Got balls?
 Got balls?
 Got balls?
 Got balls?
 Got balls?
 Got balls?
 Got balls?

Can’t wait ’til next year!
Thanks everyone for contributing to this
year’s successful night!
Suzie, we missed you. icon sad Got balls?

Working with idiots.

I ran across this story this morning.
I thought I’d share it…cuz it’s funny.
Do you work with IDIOTS?

Oh, and here’s another tid-bit that was
passed on to me by my sister-in-law, Kiki.
It appears that our beloved state fair is
taking on yet more stupid fair foods.

Food officials are introducing:
~Pig Lickers
~Pickle Pops and
~Big Fat Bacon.

There was some hesitation about allowing something
called Pig Lickers to be sold at the fair.
But Charlie Torgerson, who co-owns several Famous
Dave’s Franchises, says the chocolate-covered bacon
decorated with some sea salt is the best meat out there.

Next, if you want the bacon but not the chocolate,
you might try the Big Fat Bacon. It’s one-third pound
of bacon, fried and caramelized with maple syrup.
It’s, of course, served on…you guessed it…
a stick.

And lastly, a Pickle Pop? It’s simply pickle juice
frozen in a push-up sleeve. Fair vendor Preferred
Pickle came up with the idea after years of serving
deep-fried pickles, again…..on a stick.

One of my favorites at the fair…”weather on a stick”
at the WCCO booth. I’m going to miss Paul Douglas
at the fair this year!

The Minnesota State Fair runs August 21 to September 1.
Might I suggest that if you want to avoid a lot of
hassle at the fair, don’t go while the RNC is taking
place. I’m told that candidates will be showing up
and the security will be crazy!

Gary and I sat outside last night and chatted it up
with our neighbors Ron & Cindy. I must say that
had we not sprayed the lawn and shrubs with this stuff

we’d have been carried away by the mosquitoes!
This stuff works AWESOME!! Don’t go another summer
day or night without it!

Boo is still not so sure about the grass. It’s pokey.

Mom Update.
She stayed one more night at the hospital
and will come home today. Her leg pain is
completely gone and she has been up and walking.
All great news! Thank you so much, everyone, for
all of your prayers!

Later today, I will go with my sister Anne up
to Wyoming (the city) and pick up Emily. She
has been there for two whole weeks at camp
Ajawah.
I can’t wait to see her!!

Getting some much needed rain today.
Pray that my Arboretum wedding doesn’t get
rained out tomorrow afternoon! icon smile Working with idiots.

Prep for an all day wedding.

Wow, everything is charged, packed and
ready to go..even a cooler full of water.
I’ll head to Amber’s home this morning to
photograph her getting ready then I’ll take
her to see John. Then it’s off to the races!
Well, the gardens, really. The forecast is
for some late afternoon scattered storms and
I won’t have that! Please take a moment to
pray that the weather holds out for us until
at least 5 or 6 pm when we are all safe
inside at the reception out at Crown College.

Boo is home, happy and wants to play.
We have to protect his little tender paws
though, for a couple of weeks. Hobie pawed
at the office door…so cute! He wanted to
see Boo! I’m afraid we have to start all over
with Katie…she hissed at him last night!
Boo sounds like a little tiger cub when he
wakes up and he head butts and kisses you
all over…LOVE him!!

If you went to see Sex and the City last
night for the premiere, I’d love to hear
what you thought. I’m going on Monday.

I’ll post some images tomorrow.
Have a fabulous Saturday!!
Oh my gosh…it’s June tomorrow!! WOW!!!

Better late….

Boo had his procedure this morning and did
terrific! He’ll stay there tonight too and
then I’ll pick him up mid morning tomorrow.
Poor fella.

Anne & Pete had some fish delivered today for
their 120 gallon salt water tank. The first
batch of many. I went over to watch and took
some shots of the tank. They got 2 clown fish…
“nemo” fish…sooo darn cute. A crab, a star
fish, some snails and some live coral…very cool.

Gary’s got men’s league golf today…it’s not
very nice out…60, cloudy and a bit drizzly
at times..yuck.

I finally got my shootsac cover delivered that
I won last month…I just love it (SPLENDID is
the one I had them send out)! Thanks Vu Bui
for holding my hand through the process! And
Thanks Jessica Claire with Shootsac for selecting
me as a winner!

Oh, my sister and I hit all the garage sales
in her neighborhood, I was looking for some
props…I found this really great toboggan.
It feels like it could snow so I thought, why
not..it was only 5 bucks and it is in fabulous
shape…an LLBean. Nice.
I’d like to take Owen & Reese’s photos on it
this winter!!

Well, keep praying that the rain holds off for
Saturday for Amber & John…We’d all appreciate it!

One last thing…I had a visitor yesterday, her
name is Molly. She’s a Shi-tzu…a very BIG girl too!

3646 Better late....

May 28th

Today, actually, marks our 13th anniversary.
Gary and I “hooked up” 13 years ago today.
It was over Memorial Day weekend. WOW!
I think I might smile all day long today!

Lots of hair to do today and then I’m taking
Boo up to the vet for an overnight stay.
I know, I know, it’s bad but I’m having
Boo de-clawed. It’s totally different now
than it was 12 years ago when I had Hobie
& Katie done so Dr. Toogood sort of talked
me off the “ledge” about the whole ordeal.
I’ll miss Boo tonight and tomorrow morning.
He’ll be back tomorrow afternoon.

Tomorrow I”m going to head out to Crown College
to take a look around the grounds there.
I’ve never been there and I want to be
prepared for my Wedding on Saturday. And if
it should rain, the ceremony will take place
there, I want to know where the best place to
do a photo walk will be. No surprises!

No Minnesota Miracles this weekend. That’s nice.

Still looking for a home for Boo’s sister.

She is a full bred Birman. 13 weeks old.
DARLING!

Starkey Gala 2008!

I forgot to fill you all in on my involvement with
the Starkey Hearing Foundation Gala for 2008.
I was involved last year as well but due to a
wedding that I was shooting in South Dakota, I had
to miss the actual Gala but was afforded some pretty
awesome assignments leading up to that so I was
grateful to be included nonetheless.

Well, the lovely Cheryl MacLennan came to town and
we got together to go over the assignments for the
photographers. In that I have covered the Bass
Challenge
for Brady Forseth (of Northwestern Health
Sciences University
) in the passed and know all
those folks, Cheryl plugged me in for this event.
Pray for awesome weather!

This is held on Lake Minnetonka and the Hearing
Foundation thought that this would be a wonderful
addition to the events of the week leading up to
the Gala.

Here’s Brady (r) with Mark Zeigler, President of
Northwestern Health Sciences University.

106 Starkey Gala 2008!

Then, the night of the Gala I will be positioned
on the RED CARPET!! With Bill & Tani Austin.
This is quite an honor for me and I am just so
excited to cover this event.

Originally I thought that Sir Elton John would
be the main performer but this year it is, in fact,
Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood! Tickets are
$1250 (keep in mind this is a fund raiser!)
There will be 1900 people in attendance and the
live auction will be amazingly incredible!
I think I had better pack some Red Bull!

Go HERE to get more information.

Now, I have to share with you some photos from
Boo’s visit to see Dr. Rodney Toogood.

Anticipation…
