Salvage One in Chicago.
Wow! Megan was right! What an opportunity. She flew me to Chicago to shoot this wedding with her, yesterday, and I can’t stop thinking about it. What an incredible couple….and the location, Salvage One, was SUCH an outstanding backdrop for what turned out to be a specTACuar day (and evening). Now, for some reason, Megan is not a blogger (but we can’t all do everything, right?) so I thought I’d put some images up so that you could see that I am NOT making this up! I wonder if there is a venue like this in Minneapolis???
Here’s Caroline & Sean…

How about some exterior shots?

Everything inside and out is for sale! All of the vintage tables and chairs were not only positioned and decorated for the event but each piece had a price tag displayed so perhaps at the next wedding reception, because they are all priced to sell, some may not be there!

End of the night, a tender Father-Daughter dance…

The Windy City!
Okay, so here I am in Chicago, staying with my good friend, Megan. She’s shooting a wedding today so I haven’t actually seen her yet but that hasn’t stopped me. I foraged around town for a bite to eat for dinner and now I’m raiding her movie drawer. I’ve reacquainted myself with Healy & Sawyer and tapped into her WiFi so I guess I’m officially a guest. A couple of months ago, Megan invited me to travel down to shoot a wedding with her tomorrow (Sunday) and I jumped at the opportunity. I didn’t want to “wish the summer away” but, here we are, the week leading up to Labor Day in the midwest…CRAZY! Time does, indeed, fly!

Sawyer, aka “The Bear” was soooo excited when I came through the door. I’m pretty sure it was because I had the power to let him out! I wasn’t ready to let him go until I got my “cat fix”….

More tomorrow….
Owen’s Big Boy Haircut!

Owen got his first “big-boy” haircut on Tuesday. He was pretty prepared, I must say. Mom even told Owen that I would be helping him in the “product” department so that he could style his own hair all by himself. Now I know what you’re thinking…and yes…those are Owen’s eyelashes. No Photoshop here, folks. Owen and his sister, Reese, were both blessed with FABulous eyelashes! He’s only 4 ( & a 1/2 almost!) but Owen is all about looking sharp!

I’ll be traveling with them this weekend for a little get away and I cannot wait! Thanks Kiki, for bringing him by for his first big make-over!
Judy + Trey
What a lovely afternoon for a wedding and I spent it with Judy, Trey and their family and friends nearly from start to finish! Judy reminded me of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy in her stunning slip gown. Understated and drop dead gorgeous at the same time. Trey, a devoted, adoring husband. Congratulations to you both! Good news…no broken bones! More to come…
